The second sermon in our Cross & Crown values series focused on Biblical Authority. In upholding Biblical Authority, we submit to the Scriptures as our foundation and authority. The Bible is God’s spoken and trustworthy word - necessary and sufficient for all areas of life and conduct. The Bible also contains the message of salvation: the gospel of Jesus Christ. As Christians, we submit to Christ by submitting to His word. At Cross & Crown Penang, Biblical Authority is reflected in our commitment to expository preaching and teaching. Expository preaching aims to convey the point of the passage, in the tone of the passage, to achieve the purpose of the passage. In all areas of ministry, discipleship, and Bible study, let us seek to be shaped by God’s word and live under its authority. Come delight in His word, for it is all we need for salvation and every good work.
