We continued our journey through Acts 17:1-15, looking at how Paul persistently preached the gospel to both Jews and Gentiles. While Paul proclaimed the good news boldly and persuasively, God worked to draw people to Himself. The persuasive proclamation of the gospel often provokes strong opposition, resulting in two main responses: after hearing the gospel, some accept and believe, while others reject it. We see this clearly contrasted between the Bereans who received the message with eagerness and examined the Scriptures daily, and the religious leaders from Thessalonica who opposed Paul with hostility. This reminds us that while we are called to proclaim the gospel faithfully, it is ultimately God who converts hearts. As Christians, we must be prepared to face persecution for the sake of the gospel. Like Paul, we are called to persevere, trusting that the message we proclaim is worth any cost - even our very lives.
